The more values you set the less random it will be.

(Because this is a set of separate images, to save the floorplans you should: press your "print screen" key (or your computer's equivalent) and then open your favorite image editor and paste the screenshot into a new image. Then crop the rest of the screen. Some word processors will also allow you to paste the screenshot and even crop it. You can also print the webpage or print it to a pdf file using free tools like CutePDF and PrimoPDF.)

Coming Soon

There are many ways to improve this, but to the best of my knowledge this is the first free online inn/tavern floorplan generator.

Here's the list of planned features:

  • A web page design (background color, navigation, etc.)
  • More random names
  • Set the selected values back to what you chose on the previous page.
  • Graphical map key
  • Cellar floor plan
  • Fill in kitchen areas
  • Mark location of windows
  • More random tiles for each floor
  • Semi realistic floorplans/zoomed in as battlemats
  • Short slogan that tells if the inn/tavern is affluent, clean, trashy, has some crime, etc.
  • Randomized Menus
  • List and a few details about the staff and frequent patrons
  • Plot hooks

This random inn generator is for games like Dungeons and Dragons, GURPS, Hero/Champions, Labyrinth Lord,
Savage Worlds, Castles and Crusades, Basic Fantasy, RuneQuest, Traveller, Pathfinder, and other fantasy, non-fantasy and miniatures games.
